Artist Ivana Olbricht is from Nitra, Slovakia, where she exhibits her artwork in many private collections as well as on an international scale.
Ivana has a background in science, originally graduating from a degree in analytical chemistry. Now pursuing her career as an artist, she combines her experience in chemistry with her studio practice as a painter. Ivana’s abstract painting style is derived from a process of deconstruction, as she looks under the surface of the subject she paints. Her work is as much about the composition as it is the process; her larger canvases often requiring the movement of her whole body, channelling a flow of energy from artist to artwork.
